It's pretty bad when my husband calls me out for not blogging.:) This is going to have to be a speedy recap because I am picking Emma up from the bus stop in 30 minutes. :) Our holidays were wonderful. We were fortunate enough to be able to go to Utah for the first time in over a year and it is always great to see family. No one got sick which was awesome and we were able to see every single family member. We spent Thanksgiving with the Sharps this year, but were thankful that my brother David made a special Thanksgiving dinner for us to share in as well before they headed off to Hawaii. Emma couldn't wait for it to snow because she wanted to build a snowman, but lucky for us it was beautiful weather. We were able to go to Logan and show the girls the temple we were married in, ate at the Bluebird. We went to Temple square with Grandma Ann and Emma complained the whole time that her legs didn't work. LOL All in all it was a great trip. Our Christmas was really nice as well. We had a crazy week. Christmas day was very low key. We had friends over Christmas Eve as well as Christmas day because I couldn't decide what to cook and so decided to have one day as appetizers and the other as an actual meal. It turned out nice and we had a good time. We decided for Christmas this year that we would take the kids to Disneyland, so Santa brought everyone just 1 gift plus their stocking and it seemed like PLENTY!. I think we will pare back even more from now on. Emma's favorite gift was her silly putty so I think she is easy to please. The next day we went to Fresno to see the lights at the zoo and then the next day we went up the canyon to "see the snow". That is what we do now, we "go to the snow". The girls had a great time and we mades some good memories. Sunday we had our Christmas program for the ward choir and luckily it worked out nice and was a wonderful meeting. We left the next day for Las Vegas per our New Years tradition. We hiked at Red Rock, ate some amazing food and enjoyed seeing some more of the Sharp side of the family. The girls really play well together and it is always a highlight of our year. We then left for Disneyland. We had to stop and get Emma her build a bear that Santa promised her, and Vivi got one as well. That was a fun experience. I then stood in line for an hour to get tickets for Disneyland. It was so busy that they were at full capacity the day before and wouldn't let people reenter the park. The next day we went to Disney and as magical as the Magic Kindom was it was SO BUSY! We have never seen it like that. We couldn't even walk let alone get on many rides, and we didn't quite realize how hard it would be with 3 kids, and with Gordon being such a finicky eater. The highlights were Vivian seeing Mickey, It's a Small world, getting the girls their "ears" and Mickey's Magic Map. Mike has never wanted to leave early, but we were out of the park by 6:00 and glad of it. I think the next time we decide to go we will do things very differently. Sigh
So after our holiday festivities we came home to our Stake being reorganized. Mike is now the bishop of pretty much a whole other ward plus half of our old one. It will be a big change with a lot of new people to meet, but hopefully we'll be up to the challenge. So much more has happened, but that is our life in a nut shell. Mike had a good and busy birthday and we sure love him a whole bunch. Life is good. Oh, Gordon is trying to crawl and is rolling all over the place.

Such cute pictures! :) I am glad that your hubby called you out, we haven't heard from you in a long while. That is a big ajustment to make for your Ward, good luck to everyone with that; I am also not surprised at the Magic Kingdom being so crowded...one of the biggest reasons the Fonnesbeck Family has not made the trip...we don't like crowds and feeling all smooshed and rushed. ICK! Hope it is better for you next time.:)
Oh my gosh, what a great post! I realized while reading it that you guys did NOT get sick while visiting... that's a first, right?! Hooray!!!
Sorry about Disney being so crowded, that's a huge bummer. However, those girlies looked beyond adorable in their "ears."
Happy birthday to Mike, and a big wow for all his added responsibility. Ward changes are hard.
And I have got to ask - do you LOVE your Blendtec?!?! I seriously use mine at least twice a day and if you don't, I'm going to have to give you some tips. ;-)
Love you!!
