So as many of you know we have added a new addition to our family. On Saturday we finally decided to go out and get a "forever friend". We had been thinking about getting a dog for awhile and it just worked out. We had really wanted to get a dog from a shelter, but when this little cutie came up we couldn't refuse. She is a 4 month old cocker spaniel and she is just as sweet as can be. She has been pretty good so far about using the "outside" toilet, but has had a couple accidents, thankfully we just purchased a carpet cleaner.:) Emma just LOVES Molly and it is so fun to watch her give the puppy "hugs" and loves. It has been so nice having Melodee here and she has been a great help. It is going to be crazy when she is gone, but hopefully Emma and I will survive.
Also, here are some update pictures of our yard. Our trees are doing great and our grass is FINALLY coming in. We're going to have to re-seed, but some grass is better than none. We still have our garden boxes to put in on the far side of the yard, as well as mulching the flower beds and putting in some kind of walkways in our side yards. Some of these projects will have to wait until next year, but we feel great about what we've accomplished so far.
Congradulations on the new addition. It was a surprise because the last time we talked you had decided that a dog just wasn't in the cards. The yard is looking better...good luck with all of the other projects that are on your list:).
Molly is so cute! Thanks for posting pictures! Your yard is really coming along. I think you have done an amazing amount. Yards always got built up slowly in my past experience.
Ohhh, your dog is so precious. Emma looks like she is have a ball with the dog. Your yard is going to be so much fun. I can't believe all you got done this year. Especially since you just moved in.
Amy I was just thinking about you randomly today and how I can't believe Emma is already 1 year old - Where did the time go??? Seriously.
Your yard looks awesome - little grass and all. And hello to an adorable little puppy - How's your little miss kitty doing with him around??
We miss you guys!
PS SO SORRY to hear about Emma's sickness - that's the worst. Just tonight I thought Gavin had his 1st fever and was freaking out trying to get his temp via his armpit. Oh the joys of 1st time parents ;).
The Sharp quartet reside in the hot and dry metropolis of Bakersfield, CA. Mike has been working for Nestle Dreyers Ice Cream for almost 3 years now. Amy is a very lucky stay at home mom and she enjoys spending time with her beautiful family, a dog and a cat. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and are thankful for how the gospel of Jesus Christ brings joy and happiness into our lives and family.

Did you get a Cocker Spaniel because of Ginger? Good luck with everything that comes with a dog. It will be fun for Molly & Emma to grow up together.
